DIGITAL PARLOR TRICKS

The following are examples of intuitive work in the computer.  Various programs were used to create these images.   My favorite activity is using a "smear" tool to push color around.  First, I "throw" some colors on a digital canvas, by creating abstract images and patterns on a blank page.  I will play with all sorts of tools, until I "see" something in the picture that I want to expand on.  The following images began with a much larger one.  First, I saw the face on the left.  It just showed up, as I was playing.  I cropped it out of the larger image, then, using a "smear" tool, I began to push the color around to create the "Elder".  This image was expanded, again, then stashed away in my files, until the next inspiration strikes.
