"Surrender"
Acrylic on Canvas

There was a four month period of time that I had a fairly severe shoulder injury. Toward the end of this time I was able to paint, but only with my non-dominant (left) hand. This painting was part of my healing process and was the third in a series of left-handed paintings. |

"Nod to Bob"
Acrylic on Canvas

This painting is a gentle nod to Bob Ross. It was the second painting to be created using my non-dominant hand. I still enjoy watching the old re-runs of "The Joy of Painting". What I loved about him was that he gave painting to everyone. When you watched him, it gave you confidence in your ability to create something beautiful. God rest his "Happy, Little" Soul!! |

"Distant Star"
Acrylic on textured canvas

This canvas had a tiny hole in it. I felt it was still sturdy and hated to waste it, so I textured it with torn paper, gave it a coat of gesso, then painted it. I just followed the art. It always takes me where it wants to go! |
